The eleventh biennial Symposium on Ocean Electronics, 2011 (SYMPOL – 2011) being organised by the Department of Electronics of the Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi is scheduled to be held during 16–18 November 2011. This is organized as a biennial programme and the first symposium of the series was held in the Cochin University of Science and Technology, during 18–20 December 1991 to highlight the formal opening of the Centre for Ocean Electronics established in this Department as a joint venture of the University Grants Commission and Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. This Symposium is intended to provide a forum for the researchers in the area of Ocean Electronics to interact with each other and present their innovative ideas and findings.

The tenth Symposium on Ocean Electronics (SYMPOL-2009) was organized as an International Conference addressing the Global Oceans, Systems and Technologies during 18-20 November, 2009 in The Hotel International, Cochin.

SYMPOL 2005

The National Symposium on Ocean Electronics is a biennial event, started in 1991 to mark the occasion of the formal opening of the Centre for Ocean Electronics in the Department of Electronics, CUSAT. SYMPOL 2005 is the eighth symposium of this series.
