Arun A. Balakrishnan completed M. Tech. (2011) in Signal Processing (First Rank) from College of Engineering, Trivandrum (Kerala University) and B.Tech. (2009) in Electronics & Communication Engineering (Fourth Rank) from Government Engineering College, Thrissur (Calicut University). He started his career as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication, PRS College of Engineering & Technology, Trivandrum. He worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Electronics & Instrumentation, Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, Cochin from 2012 to 2015. He joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics, Cochin University of Science & Technology on 31st July 2015.
His areas of interests include Signal Processing, Signals & Systems, Digital Image Processing and Machine Learning. He is also holding the position, Co-PI of the research project on machine learning models for underwater image enhancement and content analysis funded by the Naval Research Board. He has 10 years of teaching experience with 3 International Journals, 20 International Conference publications and 1 National Conference publication.
